Artists in the Local Communities is a development project implemented by Kaputa ry, the Association for Urban Culture and Urban Art. The project aims to integrate professional artists’ work into everyday life in rural communities in the Hämeenlinna region, as well as in Hattula and Janakkala. As part of the project, artists organise participatory arts activities, workshops and community art projects in collaboration with local residents, associations and other stakeholders.
The project seeks to strengthen community spirit, participation and cultural well-being, while developing sustainable, long-term approaches that will make art an accessible part of everyday rural life in the future.
