Kamala Kamele took part in and received an award at the Konsta Jylhä Competition during the Kaustinen Folk Music Festival on 13–14 July 2026.

The theme of the 2026 competition was ballads. As usual, the jury consisted of Dr. Hannu Saha, Docent, and Professor Emeritus Heikki Laitinen, joined this year by visual artist Riitta Huttunen as the third member. The jury announced the results in the packed Hall of Pelimannitalo early on Tuesday evening.
